पुस्तक का विवरण : इस पुस्तक के लेखक श्री वृन्दावनलाल जी हैं | इस पुस्तक में वृन्दावन जी ने इतिहास के कुछ तथ्य प्रस्तुत किये हैं जो भारत के पोत-निर्माण शिल्प से संबंधित हैं | श्री चिंतामणि विनायक वैध्य ने अपनी प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक (History of Hindu medaeval India) में लिखा है कि हिंदुओं ने बड़े बड़े जलयानों का बनाना यूनानियों से सीखा जब वे कलिंग और आंध्र में फैल गए | यह सच है की यूनानी समुद्री यात्रा करते थे पोत-निर्माण शिल्प के जानकार थे और कलिंग तथा अंतर में जा बिखरे थे; परंतु उनका इन प्रदेशों में राज्य हो गया था और उन्होंने हिंदुओं को बड़े बड़े जलयानों का बनाना सिखलाया यह सच नहीं है.................
